1957 Chevrolet Corvette

In 1957, Corvette comes with appearance mostly unchanged and was almost similar
to the 1956 model. However, powertrain was improved along with a newly available
4-speed manual transmission. This new powertrain made the Corvette belt a horsepower
of 220 and 283 cu. in. of torque while it breathed through a single four-barrel
carburetor. There were also upgraded engines available as option that gives more
performance. A dual-quad carburetor that generated either 245 or 270 horsepower
and a Rochester mechanical fuel injection were also available as options. With
the fuel injection, Corvette achieved responsive starts and throttle.
Aside from powertrain improvements, the Corvette also received interior and exterior
restyling. This car came in dimensions that include a wheelbase of 102.0 inches,
rear track of 57.0 inches, front track of 59.o inches, length of 168.0 inches,
width of 70.5 inches, height of 51.9 inches, curb weight of 2849 lbs and weight
distance of 53/47 in the front/rear engine.
