1990 Chevrolet Corvette
In 1990, Chevrolet Corvette launched Corvette ZR-1 coupe with features of more
power and aerodynamic. Sporting a 5.7 Liter DOHC LT5 V8 engine with 32 valves,
the ZR-1 belts 375 horsepower. This all- aluminum engine was paired by a ZF six-speed
manual transmission. Also, the ZR-1 featured rear fenders that are widened and
capped with new rear fascia. Squared-off taillights and convex rear fascia distinguished
such features. Also, all Corvettes this year received new dashboard that features
improved analog and digital instruments, ventilation, sound system and a driver's
airbag.

Aside from the ZR-1, there were also the standard model trim of the Corvette,
the coupe and the convertible. A 5.7 Liter V8 engine also powered both trims that
generated 245 horsepower and 340 lb-ft of torque paired by a standard six-speed
manual transmission or the optional 4-speed automatic with overdrive. Fuel economy
data on both trims includes 16 mpg on city and 25 mpg on highway. Comfort and
entertainment feature for these Corvettes includes standard air conditioning,
power door locks, power windows and cassette player. The Coupe got an additional
standard sunroof while leather seats are available as options to both trims. On
the other hand, safety features include standard driver airbags and ABS brakes.
