2004 Chevrolet Corvette
In 2004, Chevrolet Corvette celebrated its racing success through launching Commemorative Edition cars that
includes trims such as Coupe, Convertible and the Z06. The Z06 comes with a revised
shocks and carbon fiber hood. On the drivetrain of these three trims is a 5.7
Liter V8 engine that generates 350 horsepower except that the Z06 belts 405 of
horsepower. These powerplant was aptly paired with either the 4-speed automatic
overdrive transmission or the 6-speed manual overdrive. Fuel economy data includes
18/25-mpg city/highway using the automatic transmission while it gets 19/28-mpg
city/highway using the manual transmission.
The Corvette, with its three trims, has a maximum seating capacity of two. Standard
features for this year's models include leather upholstery, 6-way power seats,
center console, heated power mirrors, power door locks, power windows, remote
keyless entry and Bose AM/FM/CD player. The Z06 got an additional head-up display
instrument. On the outside, all Corvette commemorative editions got special badges
and polished wheels. Safety features for these models include electronic traction
control, limited-slip differential, 4-wheel antilock disc brakes, anti-skid system,
dual front airbags and tire-pressure monitor. All safety features comes as standard.
