2005 Chevrolet Corvette picture

In 2005, the Chevrolet Corvette comes available in two trims, the Coupe and the
Convertible. Both carried an 6.0 Liter LS2 V8 engine that has a displacement of
6000 cc and generates 400 bhp at 6000 rpm and 400 lb-ft of torque at 4400 rpm.
This year's Corvette is a rear wheel drive with front engine type of car that
has a top speed of 186 mph and slalom speed of 66.2 mph. The Corvette's powerplant
was aptly paired with a standard 6-speed manual transmission while the 4-speed
automatic can still be obtained optionally. The Corvette, this year, also got
a renewed look and style that includes narrow hood and wide fenders.
In the interior, there was an off-center shifter close to the driver and an emergency
brake close to the passenger side. The interior was also visible with cast skins
and anodized aluminum. There was also a single-piece center console slants down
and integrates with a large armrest. The car also features equipments such as
new white LED gauges and high-intensity discharge xenon headlamp. Optional features
for this Corvette includes an onboard G-meter that measures acceleration, lateral
acceleration and lap times; XM satellite radio; GM's OnStar emergency and concierge
telematics system; and DVD navigation that includes voice activation, keyless
access and starting.
