Chevrolet Corvette History
The Chevrolet Corvette is one of the vehicles that enjoy fame in the competitive world of cars. It
was one of those many cars that had experienced several improvements and innovations
for the past decades before achieving its success. First introduced in January
1953, the Corvette's first set of cars was artistically produced using only hands
and was carrying a 6-cylinder engine with 235 cubic inches of displacement.
Throughout the years, the Corvette became known but the tradition of having the
same artistic look is still obvious. In the entire life of the Corvette, there
were many changes not just in its appearance but also in its performance. In 1957,
it received a new powertrain that had also improved its dynamism belting a 240-270
horsepower. A new fuel injection was also available enabling the car to be more
responsive. In 1968, the firs edition of Corvette with "T-tops" was launched along
with an all-new body. In the year 1978, Corvette marked its silver anniversary
and launched several commemorative editions along with an improved engine. These
were just among the changes and improvements on the Corvette but there were so
many of them until the new generations models.
